Shopping In The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter

I’m a really big Harry Potter fan and I love visiting the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. Both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley are fantastic and so is the shopping. Many of the shops you can go in and buy all different Harry Potter merchandise from clothing to wands. You can really go all out here and spend a lot of money. Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade offer everything for the witch or wizard going to Hogwarts.

Diagon Alley

Borgin And Burkes

Located in Knockturn Alley which is just off Diagon Alley, this store offers plenty of items for those interested in the dark arts. From death eater t shirts to horcruxes, (yes you can buy Tom Riddle’s Diary here) Borgin And Burkes really does live up to it’s dark reputation. You can even buy Lucius Malfoy’s cane, the cursed necklace and dark mark tattoos here. Also in the store you can find a vanishing cabinet. This my my favorite store in all of the Wizarding World. I bought my Azkaban Prison and Bellatrix Lestrange  t shirts here. Bellatrix is my favorite character in Harry Potter.

My Dark Mark tattoo. Morsmordre

Madam Malkin’s

This is the store you need for all of your clothing. They sell Hogwarts robes, Weasley Jumpers, hats, scarves and more here. They even have props of costumes from the movies such as Hermione’s dress robes.

Slytherin and proud

The Wizarding World sells a lot of wands and in two types too. They sell the interactive wands that you can use in different locations in the Wizarding World. In Hogsmeade one of the locations let’s you open a giant chocolate frog in the window of Honeydukes. They also sell regular wands too that don’t do anything but make great souvenirs. Ollivanders is located in both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. There are usually long lines to go into the interactive experience. I was lucky enough to go in late in the evening when there was no line at all. It is just like in the movie, where Harry goes to get his first wand. They get you to use a few different wands to make things move in the room. Then after a few goes something magical happens where you finally find the wand that is right for you. If you want you can buy the wand they give you, but there is no pressure to buy it. Remember the wand chooses the wizard.

Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes

This is Fred And George’s joke shop and is located in Diagon Alley. A wide range of joke products can be bought here including my personal favorite the Pygmy Puffs. If you buy one they even give it a naming ceremony.

Quality Quidditch Supplies

The perfect store for anyone wanting anything Quidditch related. They sell Hogwarts Quidditch jumpers, Quidditch World Cup t shirts and even brooms.

This store located next to the Harry Potter and The Escape From Gringotts ride and sells all Hogwarts supplies from backpacks, exercise books, ink and quills. Everything you need for your classes at Hogwarts.

Magical Menagerie

Everyone needs a pet at Hogwarts and this store in Diagon Alley sells every sort of magical creature imaginable. They sell the regular pets such as cats, dogs, toads and owls. You can also find more interesting creatures such as snakes, phoenixes and even Aragog.

This is the famous sweet shop located in Hogsmeade. If you love anything sweet you need to shop here. They sell Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, Chocolate Frogs, Jelly Slugs and more.

I just love the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and really enjoyed looking around many of the shops there. A must for any Harry Potter fan.

  1. Looks amazing! I’ve only been to Harry Potter Studios in London and while they have a shop, it’s nothing like this! I’m still the proud owner on the elderwand/dumbledore’s wand though:P

  2. Wow! I’m so jealous. I love Harry Potter and would love to visit. I didn’t realise how many products you can get and how great they all are. I love that they do a naming ceremony for the Pygmy Puffs, so cute x

  3. Great post! Love that you got some nice shots of inside the stores. When I went, it was too chaotic and lineups everywhere. Wasn’t able to enjoy as much as I had hoped.
